Physical DescriptionBlack, opal and colorless non-lead glasses; cast, cut and sandblasted cylinders are laminated to blown, iridized center section with applied cane. Cylindrical with bulbous center resting on side; two colorless solid cylinders overlaid with opaque black area cut and sandblasted on one end forming an irregular broken looking matte surface while the other end is cut flat; each section is laminated to opposing necked areas of a blown and fumed opal bulbous central piece which has been intermittently decorated with hot applications of short pieces of twisted black and white cone; sculpture sits on an angle resting on a point of one of the black cylinders and one point of the bulbous center. Signed by edge of black extension "Y Takahashi 84".
