Physical DescriptionAlmost transparent pale blue with flecks of opaque white, light blue, dark blue and red glass; pressed. Medallion with uneven, locally raised rim and slightly convex upper surface; flat but uneven lower surface with excess glass bulging beyond edge on lower right side; at center of upper surface, in relief: head shown frontally, with long hair parted at center; eyes, nose, and mouth indistinct; ears not shown; neck faintly visible; below neck, indented rosette-like motif, lower part of which is very indistinct; four labels attached to lower surface: (1) "Had belonged to Rudolph von Heidenst--- Beirut/ Sold to Gr--ff Kennedy, & bought back/ for me by El---- Robinson and Micky Bourn" (blue ink, cursive, dashes denote illegible letters); (2) "1966" (blue ink, same hand as 1) ; (3) "127." (black ink, different hand); (4) "Antioch/ Syria" (black ink, same hand as 3).
