Physical DescriptionTransparent dark blue, opaque white, opaque yellow non-lead glasses; blown, millefiori, trailed. (a) Hemispherical cup with flared rim, the bottom slightly convex (inside); trailed blue-and-white twisted cable on the rim; the body made up of a blue matrix with scattered complex millefiori canes (each made up of seven millefiori canes -- of yellow dots arranged around a central yellow dot, within a blue matrix -- in a single row around a similar central millefiori cane), within a blue matrix and encircled with white; trailed blue foot ring; the bottom with slight kick and rough pontil mark; (b) shallow, circular form with curved walls; trailed blue-and-white twisted cable on the rim; the sides made up of a blue matrix containing scattered millefiori canes matching those in (a); trailed blue foot ring; indented base with rough pontil mark.Provenance
