Physical DescriptionBeaker. Colorless non-lead glass; blown (probably mold-blown, cut, enameled, stained, gilded. Waisted shape; the rim tapered and gilded; the sides panel-cut, with small relief-cut circular panels on each side, alternately with cut and crosshatched pairs or sets of four pointed ovals with radial cutting between, one panel plain, with engraved and gilded script monogram, "PJ"; the sides with yellow-stained background, covered with heavy black enamel scratched to form delicate foliate patterns where the stain shows through; the lower part of the sides bulbous, with relief-cut rounded fans, enameled in translucent light green, with black enamel and yellow stained decoration between, like that on the sides, above; the bottom with cut radial rounded ribs.Provenance
