Physical DescriptionEnameled Vase. Colorless non-lead glass, polychrome enamel (blues, black, chartreuse), gilding; mold-blown, assembled while hot, ground, polished, enameled. Vase with delicate gemetricized floral enameling; deep, widely-flared trumpet bowl, rim ground an polished flat; lower 3/4 of bowl has black enamel outline decoration of large five-petaled flower or star radiating from base (petals have interior decoration of mirror rows of graduated spirals bisected by rays of second radiating star with cobalt, chartreuse and aqua coloration; space in- between petals filled with large floral scallop with geometric patterning); flattened knop connects bowl with deep hollow flared base with turned down rim; base decorated with wide band of black, cobalt, chartreuse and gilded alternating overlapped petals; rim edge ground and polished flat, no pontil; unsigned.Provenance
