Physical DescriptionPaperweight. Colorless, opaque white, green, and polychrome lead glass; paperweight, millefiori. Domed, circular form, enclosing a domed "carpet" of green, white and red millefiori canes, with inset millefiori canes arranged in two spaced concentric rings encircling a central cane, including several silhouette canes (goat, stag, dog, horse, rooster, bird, and flower); a signature cane inscribed "B/1848" on the side; polished pontil mark; paper label inscribed "39." in ink.Provenance
