Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; pressed and blown. Cylindrical blown tube with thermometer enclosed, capped at top with a circular metal cap on which is mounted a brass eagle with outspread wings. The thermometer has "POOL & SON/EASTON MAS" at the top of the scale. The tube is attached to a pressed glass foot in the loop pattern with a rough pontil mark underneath. Tube and foot were made at the same time and fastened together while hot; the contents of the tube were then inserted.
