Physical DescriptionClear green glass; mold-blown; tooled lip, pontil mark. Obverse: Masonic decoration; from a finely tessellated mosaic pavement rise two columns surmounted by archway with Keystone at centre. Beneath Keystone radiant all-seeing eye and between columns radiant triangle containing very large letter "G" which touches sides of triangle. Above open book with square and compasses, the edges of book touching rays of the eye and triangle. The columns show fine vertical ribbing; at left of archway blazing sun and at left of column compasses and quadrant (sign of past-master). At right of archway radiant quarter moon and at right of column two small emblems which may be intended for comet and crossbones; beneath pavement at right beehive and at left coffin. Reverse: similar Masonic decoration except between the pillars level and plumb line, instead of book with square and compasses. At right of pillars Jacob's Ladder ascending to "Star Decked Heaven"; at left of pillars trowel and crossbones; beneath pavement, beehive at right, crossed level and plumb line at left. Edges: covered with a vertical row of tiny dots each side of the mold seam and similar dots form a definite pattern on either side of the Masonic emblems.Provenance
