Interpretive Notes
“Cypriote” glass was inspired by the finds of ancient glass made during archeological excavations on Cyprus by Luigi Palma di Cesnola. Some of this glass was purchased by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, where Tiffany saw it.
