Interpretive Notes
The hand-hammered copper lamp stand and fittings were made at the Roycroft arts and crafts community in East Aurora, New York. Roycroft and Steuben’s partnership lasted only a few years during the 1920s.
Physical DescriptionOpaque white and amber glass; blown, applied blue-green iridescence, cut; copper, hammered. Lamp base has a hammered copper surface on square stem and a circular foot. Bell-shaped glass shade is cream-colored with a band of blue-green iridescence with applied trails above the bottom edge. It is topped with a copper cap and finial and has original fabric cord.
