Physical DescriptionColorless casing transparent varying shades and mixtures of yellow and green, light blue, dark brown glasses; cane is colores with glass powders and pulled by the artist, sections are lampworked then assembled over a gas/oxygen torch. Asymmetrical openwork bowl formed of narrow plant stems arcing upward in overlapped scallop pattern, stems are punctuated by small regularly-spaced crimped pointed leaves interspersed with five large sunflower heads in full bloom facing out from bowl exterior, each blossom comprised of double-row of pointed yellow petals and large mottled yellow/green center, also scattered through foliage walls are five smaller buds with small brown conical centers and five to six small petals curving back away from center; stems emerge from narrow circular foot (not completely closed) composed of alternating short sections of green and blue, a y-shaped stem branch with leaves transverses the ring forming part of base; unsigned.Provenance
