Physical DescriptionColorless or almost colorless glass, bears on one surface decoration stamped in low relief. The decoration consists of a cirular medallion (Diam. 9.2 cm) with a raised border. At the center of the medallion, again with a raised border (Diam. 6.2 cm) is a circular area containing a griffin. The griffin moves toward the right, while looking back over its shoulder. It has the head of an eagle, with prominent ears, the body and limbs of a horse or similar four-legged animal, a wing, and a long tail. Between the inner and outer borders is an Arabic or Persian nashk inscription.
