Physical DescriptionFragment of Bowl. Transparent yellowish green glass with purple streamers and many small bubbles; one large stone. Blown; pincered. Fragment of bowl: almost cylindrical. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall tapers, with slightly convex profile. Entire wall is decorated with three presumably continuous horizontal rows of pincered motifs, all impressed, made with either three or four different tools. From top to bottom: (1) row of contiguous isosceles triangles (H. 1.7 cm, W. 2.6 cm) with, between each pair of triangles, vertical row of short horizontal lines, probably made with separate tool; (2) row of apparently contiguous motifs, each shaped like wishbone, with double outline (H. 2.4 cm, W. 2.6 cm); (3) row of adjacent motifs, each shaped like single beginning quotation mark or tear with bulbous bottom and narrow top which bends toward right. Decoration is also impressed on interior of vessel.
