Physical DescriptionClear glass with pale purple tinge and many small and minute bubbles; wear marks at base; formed in a mold, half-post method; enameled. Octagonal straight-sided body with a slightly concave base having rough pontil mark, almost horizontal shoulder, joined first gather at shoulder, rounding to neck with metal screw top; on the body in multicolored "peasant style" enameling, a sword and knife grinder turned to the right, in the background a house, above a dove with a red branch in its beak, on the narrow sides two large flower stalks with lily-of-the-valley blossoms and other blossoms, on the back the inscription: "VIVAT Es Lebe Amandus Erhart staliebell s(c)hleifer"; around the lower part of the object two white lines and one wavy line.Provenance
