Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless, with yellowish tint and small bubbles. Blown and relief-cut. Fragment of neck. Uppermost surviving part descends vertically, then expands into hollow spherical bulb, below which it is cylindrical and slightly wider at bottom than immediately beneath bulb; at top of bulb, diaphragm (D. 0.7 cm). Decorated in relief on bulb and lower neck. On bulb, two continuous horizontal ribs with triangular cross sections. On lower neck: two similar ribs, one just below bulb and other 2.6 cm farther down; between them, frieze of three almost identical animals seen in profile facing left. Each animal has head with eye defined by semicircular cut and with pointed ear or horn; body with raised outline and countersunk interior; front leg extended forward, with large triangular foot; hind leg extended backward, with large squarish foot; and tail that is narrow at junction with body and wider at end. Outlines are notched and head, feet, and tail are hatched.Provenance
