Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless glass with yellowish-green fracture; few tiny bubbles; blown, relief-cut. Fragment of rim of shallow bowl. Rim is fire-polished, wall descends in straight, tapering line, and turns sharply in. Upper part of wall is decorated with frieze, bordered at top by continuous horizontal line in relief, with bird shown in profile walking to viewer’s left. Bird has curved, parrot-like beak, head with eye above horizontal, crescent-shaped cut, and plump breast. One leg points forward. Outlines are notched; body of bird is plain. Space between bird and next motif on left is more than 2.5 cm. Below carination, wall has frieze of vegetal motifs, all of which have notched outlines.
