Physical DescriptionOpaque double-walled "mercury" glass (silver on outside, gold on inside) enclosed in bubbly clear glass; free-blown, cased, pattern-molded and enameled. Covered beaker; cylindrical body with flanged bottom and slightly projecting base having rough cemented pontil mark; set-in cover with ovoid finial and rough cemented pontil mark; on the body below rim in frosted silver enamel an arcade frieze with volute and wicker-work ornaments, festoons in a geometric design two of which have birds; the cover has the same arcade frieze, ring around finial.
