Physical DescriptionPerfume Bottle with Stopper, "Fougères (Ferns)". Colorless glass with green patina, green glass, gold leaf; mold-blown bottle, mold-pressed stopper, mold-pressed and applied medallion, acid-etched. (a) Rectangular bottle with slightly bulging walls, narrow cylindrical neck, and lipped rim. Walls of vessel decorated with oval portrait medallion, each showing a woman or girl holding a flower. Backs of plaques contain gold leaf and join together inside of vessel. Exterior of vessel decorated with fern motif covered in green patina. (b) Matching stopper with flat, square top.
