Interpretive NotesOne of the first fashion brands to venture into the perfumery market, Worth launched the fragrance Dans la Nuit (Into the Night) in 1924 with a starry blue globe designed by René Lalique. Two years later, a powder box was added to the product line (seen on the right), offering consumers both a perfume and a powder option for the same fragrance. Powders were dusted on the body to delicately scent the skin as an alternative to alcohol-based fragrances.
