Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Yellow Waterlily VI". Colorless lead glass and yellow Kugler "Gold Topaz" glass; blown, engraved. (a) The hemispherical top of the sculpture, in the form of a nonfunctional bowl, is decorated with a large engraved water lily, with the lily’s petals creating a pattern on the walls of the bowl. The hole in the middle of the bowl was the inner wall of a thick-walled bubble of colorless lead glass with a very thin overlay of yellow glass. The ball of glass was then cut in half (the upper half was discarded). The top surface of the bowl form was then ground and polished before the color overlay was engraved. (b) Colorless cylindrical glass base decorated with vertically cut lines and concave dots.
