Physical DescriptionClear heavy glass; blown, cut and polished. Pedestal foot surmounted by a flattened knop ovoid body with bulbous swelling at bottom, short cylindrical neck with high lip, ear-shaped handle applied to rim and shoulder. The piece is covered all over with cut and polished lavishly ornamental pattern: the rim of the foot is scalloped, on the foot shell and petal-motifs, on the body swirling broad flutes and a fish-frieze, on neck floral motifs and classical beamed head, the handle imitates a palm tree; on the foot below the handle: "W. Fritsche Stourbridge 1886".
