Physical DescriptionTransparent green over colorless; both with very few bubbles. Blown, cased or applied; relief-cut. Fragment from wall of vessel (TTh. 0.4 cm), which appears to splay, then curve down and in. Decorated with green overlay (Th. 0.2 cm): standing bird, facing left; head is narrow, terminating in pointed beak, with eye(s) indicated by two intersecting oval cuts; body is shown in outline, with four shallow circular depressions in colorless interior; wings are of unequal size and consist of curving lines that terminate in half-palmettes with straight, shallow cuts indicating plumage; one leg is indicated by short, straight line; tail with rounded end is outlined in relief and has row of five oval cuts in colorless interior. Traces of coldworking are visible around bird, but may or may not exist at bottom of fragment.
