Physical DescriptionTwo-Part Mold for Pyrex Custard Cup. Stainless steel; machine-made. Two-part stainless mold for 175ml Pyrex custard cup. One mold (a) creates the exterior shape and design of the custard cup, consisting of three evenly spaced horizontal lines, while the other mold (b) creates the shape and design of the interior, consisting of a scalloped edge. The exterior mold (a) has the following stamped into its rim and exterior bottom : "M 21" and the following stamped into the bottom interior: "463 175ml / MADE IN USA / pyrex® / NO RANGETOP / NO BROILER / M 21" and "463 / C3-4-97 / M8-5-97" stamped on the outside. The interior mold (b) has the following stamped into the outside rim: "304637-14" and "F".

This mold was provided by the World Kitchen plant in Charleroi, Pennsylvania for purposes of display in the "America's Favorite Dish" exhibition. The plant intended to scrap the mold upon it's return and offered for CMoG to keep it instead due to the large cost of return shipping.
