Physical DescriptionHyalith Jug. Black non-lead glass; blown, cut, gilt. Squat, ovoid form; circular neck rim with drawn pointed pouring spout; wide gilt band inside; gilt bands outside, and at the base of the neck; globular body with engraved criss-crossing bands in matte oval panels, with gilt outlines; small gilt loop handle with polished lower terminal; rounded foot rim with gilt band; ground flat base with ground concave pontil mark in the center; inscribed "153" in red paint on the pontil.
