Physical DescriptionColorless glass; cast, blown, ground, polished and engraved. The inkwell has a rectangular glass base with a separate blown and ground bulb to hold the ink. The bulb, which was filled with ink, was placed into the larger round opening in the base, and would have gravity-fed the inkwell through a channel connecting them. There is an arrow engraved on the bulb, which when lined up, allows ink to flow through the channel.Provenance
