Physical DescriptionSimple Microscope. (a) Turned lignum vitae wood, metal needle ground and polished glass; assembled. Small colorless lens set within wide circular wood frame, which sits atop turned wood stem and circular wood base. A wood rod, which holds a metal needle, is inserted through stem (the rod is adjustable). (bc) Cylindrical case with lid.
