Physical DescriptionColorless rock crystal; relief-cut. Fragment of shallow bowl. Rim has rounded lip and flat, ground, and polished top; wall curves down and in, with hint of foot-ring (D. about 3 cm) at bottom. Exterior decorated in relief with horizontal rib above frieze of vegetal motifs. Surviving ornament consists of short stem that divides at top and terminates in flat palmette with its halves separated by small triangular boss. Stem also divides at bottom, and on each side it curves down, out, and (on surviving side) gently up.Provenance
