Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless, with greenish tinge. Blown (perhaps mold-blown); relief-cut. Fragment from sloping shoulder and vertical wall of bottle (TTh. 0.35 cm) decorated in relief (Th. 0.1 cm). Decoration consists of, at junction of shoulder and wall, prominent rib with incised herringbone motif; on wall, frieze (W. 3.8 cm) with horizontal rib at top and bottom. Surviving part of frieze contains hare running in left profile. It has head with eye represented by countersunk dot and large oval ear extending backward; neck filled with transverse hatching; body with raised outlines, embellished with single row of printies; short, curly tail; and part of rear left foot. Details of snout are indicated by incised lines; ear is hatched from base to tip on either side of incised line; outlines of body and tail are notched.
