Physical DescriptionGoblet. Clear glass with slight greyish tinge and with many small and minute bubbles; free blown, cut and engraved; solid square cut foot, cut octagonal stem flaring downwards with octagonal increase, semi-oviform bowl; six-pointed cut star on base, eight cut panels at bottom of bowl, leaf sprays and small disks between tops of panels. On the bowl the American eagle, head turned to left, large shield on breast, olive branch in right talons, thunder bolt in left, pennant with "EPLURIBUS UNUM" in eagle's beak and surrounded by fifteen small stars; above, clouds and sunrays; at rim band with ovals from which depend festoons with flower sprays and clusters of grapes.
