Interpretive Notes
The position of the rhombus in relation to the star-shaped frame suggests that the lower wall was decorated with a horizontal band of five rhombuses.
Physical DescriptionFragment of Bowl. Almost colorless, with yellowish tinge. Mold-blown, probably in dip mold. Fragment of bowl. Lower wall curves down and in; base slightly convex; pontil mark circular (D. about 0.7 cm), with scale. Mold-blown decoration in relief on bottom of wall and base. On wall: part of one rhombus, with oval at center. On base: five-pointed star (W. about 3 cm) contained within five-pointed frame. Rhombus on lower wall is between and above two points of frame.
