Physical DescriptionBowl with Mold-Blown and Pincered Decoration. Transparent bluish green, with many small bubbles, stones, and specks of scale. Blown (in dip mold); pincered. Bowl. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall tapers, with slightly convex profile; base in form of shallow disk; pontil mark irregular, with scale. Mold-blown decoration on lower two-thirds of wall and base: on wall, continuous honeycomb pattern comprising five horizontal rows of rather indistinct four- to six-sided compartments; on side of base, continuous row of 16 roughly circular depressions making chain-like pattern; on underside of base, rosette composed of six petal-shaped depressions. Pincered decoration on upper wall: surviving part has one complete, one almost complete, and one fragmentary oval ring and dot motif (L. 3.1 cm) in low relief; surfaces behind motifs are plain and very lightly recessed.Provenance
