Physical DescriptionVessel, "Marquiscarpa #2000-9". (a) Opaque black, medium red, blue, and opaque white glass; fused, slumped, blown murrine, cut. Primarily black sculpture with medium red striations. Sculpture consists of a shallow circular bowl set atop one large flattened merese and one smaller blue merese; mereses join bowl to cylindrical trumpet stem that opens into a circular foot. Sculpture decorated with embedded square blue canes with opaque white silhouettes of animals. Matte finish overall. (b) Metal stand with threaded post with red coating.Provenance
