Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Mother and Child". Transparent light blue glass; mold-melted, cut, ground, polished. Small relief sculpture made in an open mold with flat back. Sculpture in mid-century modern style in the form of a standing female figure holding a large child in her left arm; the child's right hand touches her face.

The sculpture is given by Eva Rydlová, who inherited it from her mother. It is likely that her mother, who was a button and jewelry designer in Jablonec, trained with Cerný.
