Physical DescriptionCovered Bowl or Jar. Colorless, presumably non-lead glass; free-blown, frosted, enameled and gilded. (a) Circular bowl, sides curving from foot-like base to plain rim; smooth base; (b) set-in domed cover with tall globular knob tapering sharply to small domed base; transparent French blue (enamel) on base, edge of cover, top of knob and its base, and on bowl about 1.3 cm below gilded rim, a gilt-bordered band with gilt leaves on the French blue ground; on cover, similar band with leaf circlet; white frosted stripes on areas between blue decoration.
