Physical DescriptionTeapot. Translucent white opal glass with many bubbles; free-blown and enameled, with applied parts. (a) Spherical body with concave bottom and very rough pontil mark, ring base and short flaring rim; loop handle applied to shoulder and bottom and applied S-shaped spout; on the pot flowers and two birds, below rim an ornamental band with lines bordering cross-hatching and blossoms (red, blue), on spout flowers; three metal rings are attached at handle, cover finial and spout, holding two chains. (b) Set-in cover with pear-shaped finial having a crudely finished top; a band of red spots at the rim and a garland of flowers on the top. The colors are: brownish-red (brick red, henna), light pink, light green, pale and dark blue, yellow.Provenance
