Physical DescriptionTransparent bluish green; few bubbles, one of which is 2.7 cm long. Blown; facet- and linearcut. Dish: shallow. Rim plain, inturned, and with external bevel; wall curves down and in, and merges with slightly convex base; trace of circular pontil mark (D. about 1 cm). Decoration is facet-cut on wall and linear-cut on underside of base. Wall has two continuous horizontal rows of hollow oval facets; upper row had about 35 relatively short facets, and lower row had about 65 longer facets. Decoration on base is composed of grooves up to 0.4 cm wide: concentric circle with single outline is filled with two squares with double outlines, superimposed at 45 degrees to form figure with central octagon and eight projecting triangles; octagon contains circle with single outline containing cross, each arm of which is composed of three parallel grooves; each space between arms of cross contains transverse groove.Provenance
