Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown glass, oil paint. Rectangle; 3/4 length portrait of a young woman seated at a piano-forte, her right hand resting on the keys. The woman has brown hair with a red rose in it, she wears a yellow Empire style gown with a wide lace collar and a blue sash under her bust as well as a necklace of red beads, a gold bracelet on each wrist; rings on both hands. There is a musical score (backwards) on the piano; she sits in a brown chair against a blue wall with a brown chair rail and dado. A narrow black border frames the image area and a wide white margin fills out the panel; the title is printed in black against the white margin in bottom center. Frame is beveled curly maple with mitered corners.
