Physical DescriptionStrips or canes of translucent light brown or amber and opaque white glass, bubbly with thin light brown iridescent film on surface, interior polished recently; mosaic or ribbon glass technique with lathe-polished rim. Fragment preserves section of rim and part of body, marbled or agate ware composed of pre- formed concentric bands of alternating brown and white glass of various thickness, these elements were laid in groups within the mold to form an extremely sophisticated repetitive pattern; thickened rim rounded by grinding flares out from almost straight-sided vessel wall which preserves three vertical ribs on the exterior with tooling marks on the upper end.Provenance
