Physical DescriptionStrips or bands of translucent light brown or amber, opaque white and opaque deep blue glass, bubbly with some stone, pitted surface with dull iridescent film on exterior, interior polished recently; mosaic glass or ribbon glass technique subsequently polished. Fragment preserves rim and part of body; pattern consists of alternating bands of amethyst, white and blue arranged in a simple spiral twist, roughly a meander pattern laid in large sections to form the bold pattern; rim rounded by grinding bends gently in and down to form a convex sided deep bowl with vertical ribs on the exterior; ribs retain tooling marks at their upper tips.
