Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; enclosing polychrome millefiori canes; blown. (a) Domed, circular shape; with hollow well in top; flared rim, ground for stopper; base encloses millefiori canes arranged in somewhat ragged concentric circles: red and white star cane at center / pink and white canes / blue and white canes / white and pink canes / pink and white canes / green and white canes, with four blue and white canes arranged to form the date "1848" / red and white canes; concave base with polished pontil mark. (b) Domed, circular shape; enclosing millefiori canes arranged in concentric rings: blue and white cane at center / pink and white canes / white and pink canes / red, blue and white canes / green and white canes / blue, red and white canes; mounted on a tapered stem and tapered, ground shank.
