Physical DescriptionPaperweight, "Gila Monster". Colorless, red, green, yellow, white lead glasses; lampworked; furnace-worked and cased. Domed, circular form, enclosing a lampworked animal (reptile?) with yellow-spotted black skin, finned back, spatulate tail, red eyes; with two plants alongside, both with arching green leaves, one with a white flower, the other a red flower, both with yellow stamens; on a mottled green ground with tan "sand" and granular white underneath; polished pontil mark; paper label, inscribed "97" in ink.
