Physical DescriptionColorless glass; pressed. Modular set of glass foot storage containers; complete unit includes ten containers with seven lids; dimensionally, all pieces are based on half, quarter or multiple proportions of largest individual container; containers have slightly concave sides, curved corners and a raised, slightly inset narrow foot on the base following the outside contour edge; base of each lid has same foot and the outside top edge is defined by a raised lip formed to receive the foot of the box resting on top. When boxes are stacked together in two groupings placed side-by-side, a solid rectangular mass is created. First grouping of multiple units includes six containers with four lids; (Aa&b) base container is largest lidded container with plunger mark on interior center of base and with a raised pointed bullet shape enclosing two X's approximately 1/4" in length at the middle of one edge on exterior base. (B) Resting on top of large container is unlidded piece of same outside dimensions but of one-half the depth bearing same markings. Third layer includes two rectangular containers of same outside dimensions but different depths, sitting side-by- side; (Ba&b) deeper container is lidded and bears plunger mark; (C) unlidded, shallow neighbor is topped by (Da&b, Ea&b) two quarter size unmarked lidded boxes which sit side-by-side.

Second stacked unit comprises 1/3 of total mass and includes four container and three lids. (Fa&b) Bottom layer is a low, lidded unmarked rectangular container. On top of lid sits two stacked quarter-size containers with one corner of each formed into a pouring lip and opposite corner walls indented to form a non-pierced handle; (H) bottom pitcher is unlidded; (Ga&b) top pitcher is lidded and neither is marked. (Ia&b) Sitting next to the two small stacked pitchers in one large lidded pitcher of the same mass with same style indented finger-hold.
