Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass "Durax" with pale yellow cast, aluminum colored metal locking strip; cup and lid each pressed in a mold. (A) Lid: disc-shape with slightly domed top decorated with narrow concentric rings surrounding center ground impression (which central point of metal strip fits into); underside has short, straight, deeply inset flange, in center is low relief trademark; molded trademark in relief on underside of lid: circle within a square; around interior edge of circle "Schott & Gen./Jena'er Glas, in center: "Durax"; bowl has thick, flat lip, deep walls that taper in to rounded base supported by four small solid angular feet that rest on their points; overall mold marks; lid is attached to cup by means of a thin metal strip (probably aluminum) bent in an "M" shape that serves as a handle as well as a clip; (B) original cardboard box is stapled together; top flap has trademark in white ink, front side has line drawing depiction of coddler enclosing a stylized egg; printed sheet of instructions of yellow and black ink on white paper includes description, recipes in German, illustrations.
