Physical Description(a) Translucent heavy colorless "moonstone" and opaque dark brown (almost black) glasses; blown, ground, carved and painted. Flattened ellipsoidal form; short cylindrical neck with ground rim; on each face an applied outline of brown glass as a frame for the interior painting; on each narrow side panel an unidentified symbol (bat?) in applied brown glass; oval base rimmed with brown; interior reverse painting, in black, white and tints, includes on one face a landscape and on the other shrub sprays, some in blossom and two birds in flight. (b) Sage-green stopper-cap and ivory dipping spoon.
