Physical DescriptionColorless overlaid with transparent green, gold, probably lead glasses; blown, cased, iridized, acid-etched, and cut. Low covered vessel with floral decorated exterior and interior gold iridization; (a) container has short straight collared neck with lipless rim ground flat, almost flattened squat circular body slopes to widest diameter then tapers in sharply to narrow circular base with molded foot; top half of body has decoration in relief of fuchsia blossoms and foliage in pale green glass, matte background appears golden because of overall mottled interior iridization; some green striations on lower half of body; slightly concave foot, edge ground flat, no pontil; (b) lid is hollow with broad slightly conical circular top decorated with green fuchsia and foliage relief decoration radiating from small center circle (etched through green to colorless) to edge, overall background green striations, rounded edge curves in to short straight collared flange that fits over rim of vessel, rim ground flat; interior gold iridization; inscribed in script on base: "Cristallerie/de Pantin".Provenance
