Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, opaque white and red decoration, brown liquid, gold metallic lid; machine-blown bottle, silk-screened decoration. Cylindrical bottle with tapered neck, narrow opening with wide lip (topped with new "Zapata Smart Cap" crimped lid); wide raised ring at approximate center of neck, double rings at shoulder, body is decorated with white and red silk-screening, on front: large vertical retangular patch with opaque white background enclosing a red and white double rule border at sides and top which, in turn, enclose a silhouette landscape scene of a smoking volcano or mountain peak with clouds rising over treetops (white on red), white script letters "Mt. Lassen" angle across top of mountain, below tree line in large block letters (white) "BEVERAGES/(red) TRADEMARK REGISTERED/SUSANVILLE, CALIF."; on back, "LASSEN BEVERAGE CO./NET CONTENTS - 10 FL. OZS." narrow concave ring near base edge, solid, thick base with raised base ring, no pontil; bottle contains new brown liquid imitating original soda; in raised molded block letters on base: "7806-C/20 (interlocking ring symbol) 50/2/NET CONT. 10 OZ".Provenance
