Physical DescriptionColorless; cut, printed, cold-painted, glued. Slide consisting of a rectangle of colorless sheet glass framed in green paper tape around edges. The slide shows the devil attacking the Père Ladron, rendered as a caricature with an exaggerated head, with a sword in an outdoor setting. Between the figures the inscription "Le diable et le père Ladron." The scene is separated from the next by a group of trees and brushes. This one shows a dance master playing the violin for a girl in a yellow dress dancing to his tune. Between them the inscription "Le violon". A second lady in a magenta-colored dress leaves disgruntled to the right. The faint inscription to her left reads, "Diable".Provenance
