Physical DescriptionTransparent smoky topaz, translucent light purple; flameworked; two sections of cane consisting of concentric purple circles alternating with smoky topaz circles picked up on smoky topaz parison; firepolished. Bottle: biconical with oval horizontal cross-section. Rim plain; narrow cylindrical neck which splays at bottom and merges with body; wall splays to greatest width which is nearer base than neck, and then curves inward to bottom; base plain with shallow kick; no pontil mark. Body decorated on broader sides with inlaid canes of different sizes, one on each side; each cane was stretched during inflation of parison so that outlines resemble profile of vessel.
