Physical DescriptionSmoky topaz, transparent (decanters), colorless (stoppers) glasses; blown, molded, ground. (A,B) (a) Decanter: conical. Rim expands, with ground and polished lip inclined at angle of about 25°; short cylindrical neck that merges with wall; base plain, slightly concave, thicker than wall; no pontil mark. Upper neck has irregular, incomplete band of grinding on inside. (b) Stopper solid, with tall, inverted conical knop, which splays at bottom and tapering cylindrical base. Side and bottom of base ground.
