Physical DescriptionColorless and opaque white glass, enamel, metal, electrical fittings. (a) Ornate metal lamp base with handles in the shape of scrolling floral sprays and four short scroll feet. (b) Opaque white globe with scalloped metal ring fixed to rim. Exterior of globe completely enameled in dark brownish-orange and yellow enamels. Outdoor scene with three men on horseback on front; outdoor scene, possibly an oasis, with mountain, clouds, trees, and water on reverse. (c) Colorless glass chimney. (d) Metal font and wick raiser insert with electrical cord. Wick raiser knob stamped, "PAT. MAY 21 1895". Metal cap on font stamped, "MADE IN / UNITED STATES OF AMERICA".Provenance
